16 That is why we Never Give UP. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
17 For our present troubles are quite small and won't last very long. Yet they produce for us an immeasurably great glory that will last forever!
18 So we don't look at the troubles we can see right now; rather we look forward to what we have not yet seen. For the troubles we see will soon be over, but the joys to come will last forever."
I saw this posted on another site (thank you Peggy!) and it struck me how much it pertained to today...
Never give up in the face of trouble; in the face of adversity. It's amazing how God can give you just what you need at the right time. And what a reminder that our troubles are small. We are so immensely blessed.
I must also never give up when it gets tough. Running away has come easy to me. With each time I do it, it becomes that much easier. It does not matter if it is personal (isn't it always personal), professional - family - whatever it is. The funny thing is though, you might think you are running, but in the end you always have to face the music. And all the running just got you that much farther in the hole.
On another note (or maybe not) the one day turned into one week. Tomorrow is the last day for this consulting gig. What a relief, but at the same time, how scary. What will be next? How I so long to be at home, and to truly enjoy being there.
I will take it one day at a time. I am hoping for a time of renewal and self discovery. I believe that it will be an opportunity to pave a new path.
...Hopefully that path will lead us to this:
How is that as a reminder that our spirit can be renewed each day?
Hoping for the simple joys in life....

I love your description on your profile. Sounds just like me!
Hope you have a great weekend! :)
Sometimes it is difficult to look beyond the troubles or challenges that face us, they can seem overwhelming. Yet, Christ is with us in that present moment, we are never alone.
I have always believed that the reason for our journey, the self awareness, is revealed to us little by little, as we are ready to receive it. Up until this point we are given strings of grace that gently us.
When I read 2 Corinthians 4: 16-18 I am reminded that this trouble, this worry, is temporary. Christ is always beside me leading me forward.
You have written a beautiful post here and I just love the pictures of the little ones.
God bless...
